Special Conditions applicable to Sri Lanka Airlines Platinum American Express® Credit Card ( Platinum Card) issued by Nations Trust Bank PLC ( Bank)

1 In addition to the terms and conditions applicable to American Express® Credit Cards issued by Nations Trust Bank PLC, these special conditions will also apply to Platinum Cards. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the general terms applicable to American Express® Cards issued by the Bank  the general terms shall apply. Cardmembers are advised to read these terms and conditions carefully. By signing and /or using the card the cardmember accepts the terms and conditions set out below and will be bound by them.  
   
2 The Platinum Card entitles the cardmember to membership of the FlySmiLes programme managed by Sri Lanka Airlines subject to rules and regulations of the FlySmiLes programme. The Platinum Card will be governed by the rules and regulations of FlySmiLes programme in addition to the Rules governing the use of credit cards issued by the Bank.  The FlySmiLes booklet with information and rules will be forwarded to the Cardmember by FlySmiLes upon registration of membership.
   
3 American Express® or Nations Trust Bank PLC will not be liable or held responsible for offers or services rendered by SriLankan Airlines or the FlySmiLes program.
   
4 Platinum Cards will be issued only to those whose applications have been duly received by the Bank and the Bank will not be held responsible for loss or misdirection of applications howsoever caused.
   
5 Bank may, in consultation with Sri Lankan Airlines make available special Promotional Offers and benefits to Platinum Card members which offers and benefits are subject to withdrawal without prior notice.
   
6 Every Rs. 100/- spent on transactions made using the primary or supplementary Platinum Card  will earn a minimum of 1 FlySmiLes Mile.  Only the primary Cardmember will be eligible for Redemption of FlySmiLes Miles. Bank may change the spend required for earning a FlySmiLes Mile from time to time with adequate notice to Cardmembers in general.   
   
7 In the event of a loss of membership of the FlySmiLes programme as per the terms and conditions governing such programme such Platinum Card member  will cease to earn FlySmiLes on his/her Platinum card.

Valid only for Sri Lankan Airlines Platinum American Express Cardmembers who are renewing their Cardmembership during the period January to December 2012.

Cardmembers will receive their vouchers from Sri Lankan Airlines via registered post 2 weeks from renewal date of the membership.

3 Valid on Economy Class only.

Destinations on offer: Bangkok, Male, Chennai, Bangalore, Shanghai, Beijing, Canton, Cochi, Thiruchirapalli, Trivandrum.

Supplementary Cardmembers will not be eligible for a companion ticket.

The Cardmember has to purchase an economy class revenue ticket to any of the above destinations to be eligible for the companion ticket. Companion ticket will not be extended on redemption, non revenue and service Recovery, denied boarding compensation air tickets.

The voucher will be valid for three months from the date of issue. The Cardmember has to make a booking and obtain the companion ticket during this period)

Companion Ticket issued will be valid for a period of three months.

The Cardmember and companion have to travel on the same flight.

Not valid on code share flights operated by other airlines.

The companion tickets will only be issued at the FlySmiLes Ticket office at the World Trade Centre

Seats will be based on availability at the time of booking.

If seats cannot be obtained no extensions will be permitted on the voucher.

Date changes will only be permitted during the validity period of the ticket issued . Both the Cardmember’s and companion’s tickets will need to be changed.

The Cardmember’s ticket has to be purchased using the SriLankan Airlines Platinum American Express® Card.

All documents pertaining to the issuance of the redemption ticket needs to be filled and supporting documents need to be provided by the member at the time of issuing the companion ticket

The applicable taxes on the companion ticket will have to be paid by the Cardmember.

The companion ticket cannot be upgraded to business class using Miles.
19

No extensions will be permitted on the tickets and the voucher validity period.
